Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Traveller’s Tales) X360:  Time Played So Far: (According to Raptr) 6 hours

Confession time-  I have fairly suddenly developed an unhealthy obsession with Superman.  It started with the New 52 reboot of the franchise, and it’s driven me to distraction ever since.  Had this game not come along, I probably would have purchased Superman Returns just to get a fix.  This Superman phase, coupled with the fact that I love just about all of the Lego titles means this was going to be an instant buy.  So far, I don’t regret my purchase, although I do wish I had waited for the Steam release since it’s only $30 as opposed to $60.  I’m a big fan of the talking characters.  The pantomimes in earlier Lego titles made me smile, but the dialog in this one makes me laugh out loud, especially an early playful dig at Arkham City that Rocksteady must have loved.  The new suits for Batman and Robin are more diverse and more fun than in the first game, and the levels are large, detailed, and sometimes FAR more challenging than earlier Lego games.  I’ve actually gotten stuck a few times, which has never happened to me before.  The levels might actually be a bit TOO large-  The Lego games have always been designed for more casual play, so perhaps I’m used to 10-12 minutes per level rather than these behemoth levels that feature CHECKPOINTS (!) between scenes.  There’s also far too little Superman in the early going.  Granted, the title is Lego BATMAN 2 , but I was just hoping to take Kal-El for a spin around Gotham earlier on in the proceedings. I’m looking forward to checking out the rest of the league as well.  My only other complaint is that the load times are inexcusably long.  That may be because I didn’t install it to my X360 HDD, but I’ve heard that installation can lead to a nasty crash later in the game.  I’ll wait for the patch, thanks.  Despite these issues, this one is well worth the asking price, especially the Steam version. Bring on LOTR!

We all have enormous backlogs of games in our Steam libraries, so if YOU’D like to pick out a title for a future QTE, let us know- Follow me on Raptr JPSJeff13 to take a look!

Otherwise, the Randomizer will think it has control over this feature… @JPSRandomizer
