Jeff here. Welcome to the new face of “Just Press Start!” Xeserox and Steve have done an amazing job so far in putting the site together, and I’d like to take a moment to thank them for all of their hard work, and I’d also like to thank our benefactor for the kind use of his bandwidth for our humble little podcast.
While this is a great time to look forward to what 2011 has in store for “Just Press Start,” I’d also like to take a moment to comment on the closing of our old site, Firebrandradio.com. I’ll miss the radio station, in all of its previous iterations. I started out as a guest DJ on EveUnderground.com, appearing on Xeserox’s show as “That Guy.” I eventually made the migration to EdenUnderground and finally to Firebrand Radio with my own “They Gave ‘That Guy’ a Show?!?!” and contributed to the sites as a columnist. I had to give the show up when my son was born, but I always missed recording. I’m so very grateful to Xes for asking me to host “JPS.” Now, as I find myself at the head of a burgeoning online empire of game podcasting goodness, I am really proud of where we’ve been, and where we’re headed. While I’ll certainly miss all of the great people I’ve met during my time at Firebrand, I can’t wait to see the show expand and see where we might be a year from now.
One thing won’t change with this move. We are committed to bringing you the best content from week to week, with interviews, reviews, and analysis of the gaming world, all while maintaining a more family-friendly atmosphere. Welcome to 2011, “JPS” fans. The King is dead- Long Live the King!
